OPENED MY EYES : MUCH BETTER

Image
Much Better Heyyy folks! Welcome again to "OPENED MY EYES" with yours truly. It is always a delight having you here. Last week if you were here, you read a post expressing how tired I was and how I was struggling to pray and losing battles I thought I had won. All those were facts NOT TRUTH. Truth never changes. The truth is I am a Child of God, justified, sanctified and glorified. In the course of the week I found my footing in God again and I am refreshed. Relax, I plan to tell you what happened still. Just before I get to the specifics, let me share a popular scripture: " But those who trust in the Lord will become strong again. They will be like eagles that grow new feathers. They will run and not get weak. They will walk and not get tired." Isaiah 40:31 ERV Notice, it says "will become strong again" which implies that you WILL lose strength once in a while. Think about your phone battery. At some point it's 100% and if it's

LETTER TO ME: A CANDID REVIEW OF THE TITANIC!!

Image
Dear Me, This is always the boring part of the letter, because I don't know what pleasantries to make. Lol. But how are you? Good? I hope so Anyway, so last night, for no particular reason, I decided to watch The Titanic all over again. The story of perhaps the first passenger ship ever made and it's unfortunate incident with the iceberg. As I watched, I got angrier. First, with the billionaire who sponsored it's building and design. I mean, why did he have to go and dare God and say He couldn't sink it? Knowing it was the first voyage carrying over 2k passengers, he should have kept his mouth shut. And then this same man, asked the captain to fire all engines because he wanted to arrive before time and make headlines. If it wasn't for it's speed (against the earlier schedule of just four engines), Titanic would have slowed in time to dodge the iceberg that was it's doom. And I was mad at Rose. My God, even Jack told her she was stupid. I mean, y

DEB TALK: HEALTH AND MORE

HEALTH AND MORE Do you know that Watching TV In a Dark Room is a Risk Factor For Glaucoma, and Blindness?.... It's a beautiful morning from here, Trust we had a great night. Before, I forget, let's have some happy new month hugs and handshake, 😊 Enjoy the best in November. So, we would be starting our health series today, I hope to break down the Medical terms to the simplest form and I hope it help someone reading though. ____________________________________________ Watching the television, or peering at a phone with a bright screen, in a dark room, is not advisable, especially for people that are long sighted. Why? It may trigger an acute glaucoma attack-- an eye emergency that may lead to blindness within minutes to hours, if proper and timely intervention is not given. How? In a dark room, with a TV  or the screen of a bright phone the only source of light, the pupils dilate excessively. In this state, they may come in contact with the lens, and block the cha

IN MEMORIES OF LEICESTER CITY CHAIRMAN VICHAI SRIVADDHANAPRABHA The Foxes chairman died in a helicopter crash on Saturday following his side's match with West Ham, but his impact will be felt for years It is a tragedy that will go down in footballing infamy. The darkest day in Leicester City’s history arrived just two and a half years after the club’s greatest hour. Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, the much-loved owner of the Foxes, ties together both of these moments. On May 2, 2016, the man affectionately known as just Vichai celebrated football’s most heart-warming fairy tale as Leicester were miraculously crowned Premier League champions. But on October 27, 2018, Vichai’s fairy tale would descend into a nightmare. On Saturday evening – following the 1-1 draw with West Ham - the helicopter that collects Vichai after every home match at the King Power Stadium tragically crashed just seconds after take-off. All five people on board died, including the 60-year-old Vichai. It is a

Alkali Amana's Board: GANAJA

GANAJA Wednesday!!! Today we have a piece on Ganaja by a writer who chose to extend his knowledge on the environment - Pius Ujadu Abakpa. read on Ganaja below... The world is increasingly growing her quest to attain a perfect and total peace. Man,  across all strata of his engagement is developing different mechanism to aid the realization of this,  from his individual interactions,  to the level of governance and leadership. This course has led to approaches that differ and as such has led to ideological difference and factions. As we continue to work as men and women who seek a development through conscious and deliberate efforts, we must note that our innovative approaches stamps on us the indication that we are courageous and consistent in our efforts. It is however a trite calling for us,  to,  with all sense of exigency recall villages and Communities, Towns and Cities,  States and Nations who are being beaten hard by unavailability of social welfare services and insti

PARADIGM : BURNED EPISODE 2

The girls pause and try to get used to the dim light, they hold hands and try to comfort each other, "where do you think you are going? Now you are here, I own you" he snickers and speaks to his men "They look so innocent, what do you think they did to deserve the sack? They don't look like the killing type," he tilts his head to take a better look at them, "lemme guess, an elder took an interest in you and you said no? Nahh, you don't look that spirited." Maria and Chi look at the man talking, scared and vulnerable. "looks aren't everything, we could be lethal assassins pretending to be scared and afraid," Maria says to him, Chi whispers to her, "Good one but I don't think they'll buy it." The men burst into laughter at Maria's comment, Chi rolls her eyes, getting pissed. Maria feels her tense and groans, "please Chi, control your emotions, don't say anything, please don't say anything." Chi
