 THE CLIMATE CHANGE MOVEMENT




Today, officially I make an entry into the scene on climate change activism after having studied and devoted my time to the climate happenings around me, not too far in the immediate environment. The lack of rain, the humid atmosphere, the blazing sun, the contaminated and polluted air mixed with carbon and other dangerous elements which have the potential of staying for hundreds of years in the atmosphere before degrading (i.e. if they ever degrade) – all these represent the crumbling state to which we ebb as we remain obstinate and unyielding to the call of change to let the air breathe.


Take a look around you. The sun seems to be getting hotter. There is a seeming imbalance in the way rainfall is distributed across the climes. Sometimes it looks as though it is shifting away from some certain regions. Thus, you will see places where clouds abide for hours or days (intermittently coming and going) without pouring down their contents. I have heard people attribute it to rainmakers who were withholding the rains so they can have their palms greased. It bears the mark of something that could be true, but upon deep examination, you find that it is specious at best.


The problem which exists and hides in plain sight is climate change, a negative change so radical that it threatens to affect our planet so much. We need to pay attention to the alarm bells ringing at the moment if we are to survive any effect climate change threatens us with. Gradually we are sinking and getting submerged by our acts.



I am a climate change activist and enthusiast and I request that you help keep Mother Earth in good shape. From time to time, I will engage you on this topic using this newsletter. I hope you find the need to study this menace and join to combat it.

NEW YEAR INSPIRATION The year is into full swing already Tellrheaders, but for all we have missed so far, I wish you a Happy New Year. There are a lot of things that come with the new year - resolutions, tasks etc. However, one must be inspired to achieve. For inspiration, where do you look? Lets take you back to the 70's, 1976 to be precise. The first movie of the Rocky series was born, produced out of a brilliant manuscripts written by a film actor who was struggling financially and had his backyard problems to solve. The actor and writer of this wonderful piece wrote the first manuscript in under twenty hours, after seeing the boxing match between Muhammad Ali and Chuck Wepner. That actor/writer is Sylvester Stallone and today the Rocky franchise ( if I may call it so) is a recognized international movie with great acclaims, enough to earn Stallone a place in the International Boxing Hall of Fame in a non-commissioned for playing the role of Rocky.
