AUTOCARE WITH DAMILARE: ELECTRIC CARS

Electric Cars

Just like you'll charge your phone, Laptop and other gadget, so you can charge the electric cars, To your surprise electric cars was first produced in 1880, yes that long so it's not an invention that just happen yesterday.

So let just say, an electric car is an automobile that is propelled by one or more electric motors, using energy stored in rechargeable batteries, it does not has the internal combustion engine and it doesn't emit exhaust.

From 2008, a renaissance in electric vehicle manufacturing occurred due to advances in batteries, and the desire to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve urban air quality.
Charging an electric car can be done at a variety of charging stations, these charging stations can be installed in both houses and public areas. The Tesla Model 3 was the world's best selling EV (Electric Vehicle) from 2018 to 2019 and had a maximum electric range of 500 km (310 miles) according to the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) The Model 3 became the world's all-time best selling electric car by early 2020.

Key Components of an All-Electric Car

Battery (all-electric auxiliary): In an electric drive vehicle, the auxiliary battery provides electricity to power vehicle accessories.

Charge port: The charge port allows the vehicle to connect to an external power supply in order to charge the traction battery pack.

DC/DC converter: This device converts higher-voltage DC power from the traction battery pack to the lower-voltage DC power needed to run vehicle accessories and recharge the auxiliary battery.

Electric traction motor: Using power from the traction battery pack, this motor drives the vehicle's wheels. Some vehicles use motor generators that perform both the drive and regeneration functions.

Onboard charger: Takes the incoming AC electricity supplied via the charge port and converts it to DC power for charging the traction battery. It monitors battery characteristics such as voltage, current, temperature, and state of charge while charging the pack.

Power electronics controller: This unit manages the flow of electrical energy delivered by the traction battery, controlling the speed of the electric traction motor and the torque it produces.

Thermal system (cooling): This system maintains a proper operating temperature range of the engine, electric motor, power electronics, and other components.

Traction battery pack: Stores electricity for use by the electric traction motor.

Transmission (electric): The transmission transfers mechanical power from the electric traction motor to drive the wheels.

Electric cars or EVs are environmental friendly, and it's the future when it come to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, it is also less cost to move around. than the gasoline cars, but it might be costly to get, though it is said that Tesla new battery will make EV as cheap as petrol cars and this new, low-cost batteries designed to last for a million miles (1.6 million kilometres) of use and enable electric Teslas to sell profitably for the same price or less than a petrol vehicle.
It's just a matter of when before electric cars out number petrol cars on the road.

if you're yet to see the future in electric cars, then I wonder the future you're seeing.
