A major reason why The Tellrhodes Blog was created was to encourage young people and let them know that no matter their location, social class or any factor they might consider limiting they can achieve whatever they put their mind to, and in searching for ways to make that mission a reality the section Voice of the week was created. It had a great run featuring more than 10 amazing personalities but as our culture is here we wanted something more engaging and personal and we are rebranding that platform as BECOMING THE VOICE where people who are are making waves in their various fields can share their story in their own words. We are super excited about this and can't wait to begin rolling in this amazing Stories/Sessions, that will absolutely thrill and inspire you.

NEW YEAR INSPIRATION The year is into full swing already Tellrheaders, but for all we have missed so far, I wish you a Happy New Year. There are a lot of things that come with the new year - resolutions, tasks etc. However, one must be inspired to achieve. For inspiration, where do you look? Lets take you back to the 70's, 1976 to be precise. The first movie of the Rocky series was born, produced out of a brilliant manuscripts written by a film actor who was struggling financially and had his backyard problems to solve. The actor and writer of this wonderful piece wrote the first manuscript in under twenty hours, after seeing the boxing match between Muhammad Ali and Chuck Wepner. That actor/writer is Sylvester Stallone and today the Rocky franchise ( if I may call it so) is a recognized international movie with great acclaims, enough to earn Stallone a place in the International Boxing Hall of Fame in a non-commissioned for playing the role of Rocky.
