OPENED MY EYES

UNCLEAN?

“No, Lord,” Peter declared. “I have never eaten anything that our Jewish laws have declared impure and unclean. ” But the voice spoke again: “Do not call something unclean if God has made it clean.” Acts of the Apostles 10:14‭-‬15 NLT

Hello there! It's been forever. Life gets in the way of our weekly rendezvous sometimes. Forgive me for past and future sins please. Anyway today, I want to address the voice of condemnation in somebody's life.

The opening scripture verses are well known (or at least I think they are). The passage is extracted from Acts 10 where Peter had a vision where a sheet from heaven was lowered with "unclean" animals and God asked him to kill and eat. In summary, he had his convictions concerning what was unclean. He being a Jew was arguing based on the Law with the Giver of the Law. Imagine!

Anyway that's not even the point today. I know there is someone reading this who feels filthy because they have lingered in sin. You believe your sin has cancelled God's call and purpose for your life! LIES!!!! God calls you righteous even while you battle that nasty addiction. While you struggle, the Lord already has conferred upon you a status of righteousness in Christ Jesus.

Do not call yourself unclean when God has called you clean. Do not argue with the Judge when He calls you innocent. Do not become so absorbed in yourself and inadequacy that you reject the gift that our God has given us which was paid for by the blood of Jesus.

I don't know what it is you are going through or you have gone through that makes you feel unworthy all of a sudden or maybe has made you feel unworthy of the Father's love for some time now. SNAP OUT OF IT! YOU WILL NEVER BE WORTHY but HE WILL LOVE YOU ANYWAY. Accept the Lord's love and walk out righteous deeds from your place of righteousness in Christ Jesus. You are not righteous because you do the right things. You do the right things because you have been made righteous.

I hope your eyes are now open. Have a blessed week!
