GLIMPSE OF HOPE WITH KENNETH

Hi lovelies.

My attention has been drawn to a story of a guy who committed suicide due to the fact that his girlfriend broke up with him. I believe you might have come across the story online.

Now, I've been thinking and also wondering what could have happened that will lead to such a decision. It's easier read you know, “man committed suicide because his girlfriend broke up with him". You could imagine the comments it would attract. I also learnt from his story that he was a drummer and also a music director in one of the popular church in Nigeria, you can imagine.

This guy, according to a tribute written about him was full of potentials, spiritual and has a promising future. The news of his death came as a shock because nobody expected it, he was a great guy, everything was in order (appears so).

Suicide is not something one will just jump into. I believe this guy has attempted suicide in the past maybe twice or more but this wasn't definitely his first just that this particular one led to his death.

Suicide results as an accumulation of past hurts and mistakes. This guy has had series of unfortunate events piled up in his mind that he couldn't let go, events that has had a dent on his self esteem, career, spiritual life and everything.

Everyone has rough time but allowing things to pile up and refusing to move up is the worst mistake ever. Suicide is never the solution, you only succeeded in transferring the pain to someone else who is actually innocent.

We must cultivate the habit of clearing out minds off the things that hurts us. Life ahead is far greater than what is behind, the pain won't kill you but it will make you stronger. Don't conceal issues in your heart when it's seems too heavy to carry. Talk to God about it, talk to someone about it and relax. It eases the pressure and brings new light and hope to live again.

To rap it up, if you had a opportunity to talk to someone who is about to commit suicide, what would you say??

Your answer would determine whether or not he/she would commit suicide.

Let's save our society today, remember it could be your relative.

Awaiting your kind response.
