LETTER TO ME: Man Vs the Mould ( No Perfect Man)

LETTER TO ME

"THE MAN v THE MOULD"

Andrea wasn't having any of Lola's arguments.

"You can't have it both ways. You either take what you get or get nothing at all"

"And who says a man can't be everything I want? Understand me, Drea. Sam is the man I want. He's not just ALL... of the man yet. Can't he be more like Shayo's boyfriend? I mean, if he was mine, he'd have checked everything on my list. But no, I get stuck with a half-made man" Lola walked to the end of the room and sunk in the cushion.

"Where did you get the idea that anyone is complete? Lola, we all have flaws, even you do. Don't make poor Sam feel like less of a man for embracing his. And by the way, comparing him with Shayo's man doesn't help you".

"My parents had a perfect marriage. I know because they always said they found their perfect match. Why can't Sam be perfect for me"?

"Any more perfect, Lola, and he'll be a broken man. Why can't you just accept him for who he is?...

TO BE CONTINUED ...

Real quick Tellreaders, there is NO perfect anyone. They could be perfect for YOU, but no one is perfect. We're all broken.

That said, allow me to say that it is wrong for you to hold someone to some standards or checklist. Especially when you don't seem to keep to the standards you hold others too. Look at Lola, wanting a perfect man, but being the woman who can't communicate (remember last week?). If you're going to be judge and jury, you gotta be some sort of saint. (issa simple sturvs 🀷‍♂)

Here's another thing, don't be doing that comparison thing biko. What do you think relationships are? Tinini tanana? πŸ™„. Listen, the moment you begin to wish for something that belongs to someone else, you've got your mind set on being a thief fam. Yeah you heard me. You want to steal a whole man. πŸ™†‍♂

And it's disrespectful to the person you have professed love to, and to your relationship, to compare. Listen, loyalty doesn't mean only that you stay with a person for years. It means that you stay loyal to the flaws too. That means accepting them, and grooming them to be better at what they're good at, rather than pointing at every mistake. That's how you wear your man out.

And you, yes, you Uncle...thought I won't talk to you abi? 😏 See ehn, although you cannot come and go and kill yourself and die away on top standards, don't be the guy she settles for. Life's not a Disney story o. These crop of Princesses don't want to have to kiss a frog (or "Shrek") to find out if he's a Prince.

Check ✔️ your wealth of character, compassion, sense of responsibility and maybe your manliness (tall, dark and handsome... That kinda thing) and you also would have set a bar for "her". Of course, you still won't be all perfect (cos no one is), but you would be wayyy better than average.

I hope this you enjoy little write up. Comment below and let me know what you think.

Also, your vote is your right, make sure to exercise your franchise. I'll see you after. Till then...

Love,
Nathan.
