INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONS CUP 2018
Full list of teams, fixtures & location of pre-season tournament

The sixth edition of the International Champions Cup is under way this summer as some of the world's biggest and best clubs collide.
Held in the likes of Asia and the United States, the annual pre-season tournament involving Europe's top clubs taps into the huge fanbases that exist for those teams outside of their local markets.
It has drawn huge crowds in the past; and not only do the clubs involved pocketing significant appearance fees, but it also enables them to benefit from the longer-term commercial benefits of engaging with supporters across the globe.

WHAT IS THE INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONS CUP?
The International Champions Cup (ICC) is a pre-season tournament that has been held every summer since 2013.
For the past three years, the ICC has been split into three different regions: the United States, China and Australia in 2016 and the United States, China and Singapore in 2017.
In the two years prior to that, it was held exclusively in the USA. This year, China has been replaced by a number of European venues in Sweden, Poland, Austria, Italy, Switzerland and Spain.
Europe and Singapore will host 10 games in total, while the USA section has 17 games on the schedule - a total of 27 games.
According to organisers, in a departure from previous years, each team will play three matches and only one champion will emerge. In previous years teams did not always play the same number of games and a separate champion was crowned in each host country.
It began on July 20 and ends on August 11, getting everyone back before the start of their competitive campaigns.

WHICH TEAMS ARE IN THE INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONS CUP?
Eighteen of Europe's top clubs will take part in the 2018 edition of the ICC, which will be held at various venues across the United States, Europe and Singapore.
The likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus and Manchester giants United and City continue their involvement from previous years, while Benfica, Atletico Madrid and Liverpool join, having not played a part in the 2017 edition.
Unlike 2017, no games will be played in China, with Singapore providing hosting duties in Asia, but a number of fixtures will take place across Europe, with the likes of Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain among those scheduled to play.

NIGERIAN COACH SALISU YUSUF CAUGHT ON CAMERA TAKING BRIBE

In a footage recorded in September 2017, Yusuf was offered a sum to influence his selection at the regional championship that was held in Ghana.
Sequel to 'Number 12’ controversy that rocked Ghana football , attention has shifted to its Nigerian counterpart, with Super Eagles coach Salisu Yusuf the latest caught in the entrapment of investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas .
Salisu who led the Nigeria B side to the Wafu Cup of Nations in Ghana was filmed by Anas’ Tiger Eye PI agency in September 2017 collecting cash believed to be $1000 from undercovers, posing as agents in order to influence players’ selection at the tournament.
Also, the former Kano Pillars handler was promised 15% from the players’ contracts should they get snapped up, with the gaffer in turn promising the agents spots for both players at the 2018 African Nations Championship in Morocco.
The players were not named in the footage(but have been identified as Rabiu Ali and Osas Okoro) as Nigeria went all the way to the final, where they were handed a 4-1 defeat by hosts Ghana - their only loss in the competition.
Salisu took the team to CHAN in Morocco earlier this year, where they also finished second behind the hosts. And he was Gernot Rohr’s assistant to the recently concluded World Cup in Russia, where the Super Eagles were unable to navigate their way past Group D.
The 56-year-old was brought in Sunday Oliseh’s stead after the former Juventus’ player dismissal in 2016.
He masterminded friendly victories over Mali and Luxembourg before the Nigeria Football Federation announced Gernot Rohr as a substantive coach, whom he became his assistant.

FRANCE'S BENJAMIN PAVARD WINS WORLD CUP GOAL OF THE TOURNAMENT

Benjamin Pavard's stunning strike in France's World Cup last-16 victory over Argentina has been voted the best goal of the tournament in Russia.
The defender, who showed superb technique to fire into the top corner, received the most votes cast by three million fans on the Fifa website.
"I didn't even think about it. I just tried to get over it and keep it down," Pavard, 22, said after the game.
France beat Croatia 4-2 in the final to win the trophy for the second time.
Pavard added: "The ball bounced up as it came to me. I was trying to hit it in the direction it came from, which is what the strikers always tell me.
"When the ball went in I just felt so happy."
Juan Quintero's clever free-kick for Colombia against Japan came second, and Luka Modric's brilliant long-range strike for Croatia against Argentina was third.
Below is the video of Benjamin Pavard's goal of the tournament.
