On this section we'll provide updates all week long and give weekly editorials on latest happenings in and around your favorite football teams.
So, lets begin with the updates from the UEFA Champions league last 16 matches played out this week.

Defending champions Real Madrid cemented their place in the quarter finals and as one of the favorites for this years trophy haven secured back to back Champions league trophies in the last two seasons by coming out on top 1-2 away to Neymarless Paris st Germain on Tuesday. Cristiano Ronaldo and midfielder Casemiro secured the goals for the Spaniards either side of an Edinson cavani equalizer to triumph 5-2 on aggregate.
Elsewhere Portuguese giants Fc Porto held Liverpool to a dour goalless draw at anfield in the days other tie in a game which failed to produce enough clear cut chances with Liverpool prevailing 5-0 on aggregate.
While on Wednesday Manchester city fell to a first home defeat in 36 club games in a 1-2 defeat to swiss club Basel but still manage to progress 5-2 on aggregate owing to the 4-0 first leg victory a fortnight ago in Basel.
But in a more dramatic game Juventus produced a fantastic comeback from a goal down at wembley on the night to win the game 2-1 and the tie 4-3 on aggregate.
 With Juve joining Real Madrid, Liverpool and Manchester city in sealing their place In the quarter finals of the 2017/2018 UEFA champions league.

And still to come, FC Barcelona host Chelsea in one of the ties of the round at the Camp Now after 1-1

NEW YEAR INSPIRATION The year is into full swing already Tellrheaders, but for all we have missed so far, I wish you a Happy New Year. There are a lot of things that come with the new year - resolutions, tasks etc. However, one must be inspired to achieve. For inspiration, where do you look? Lets take you back to the 70's, 1976 to be precise. The first movie of the Rocky series was born, produced out of a brilliant manuscripts written by a film actor who was struggling financially and had his backyard problems to solve. The actor and writer of this wonderful piece wrote the first manuscript in under twenty hours, after seeing the boxing match between Muhammad Ali and Chuck Wepner. That actor/writer is Sylvester Stallone and today the Rocky franchise ( if I may call it so) is a recognized international movie with great acclaims, enough to earn Stallone a place in the International Boxing Hall of Fame in a non-commissioned for playing the role of Rocky.
