THE VIRTUE OF HONESTY


    Honesty is a facet of moral character that connotes positive and virtuous attributes such as integrity, truthfulness, straightforwardness, including straightforwardness of conduct, along with the absence of lying, cheating, theft, etc. Honesty also involves being trustworthy, loyal, fair, and sincere.
   In our contribution to the tellrhodes blog & the world at large especially in a country as Nigeria, we stand to urge our good citizens to adhere to the virtue of honesty because honesty is always the best policy. In everything we do, we must be honest. 
   Honesty just like every other virtue must be consciously cultivated. We must decide to always be straightforward and say the truth in a circumstances. Always stand for the truth and do the truth to avoid the temptation of compromise. 
   An honest person will be well respected and recommended though sometimes people may kick against such a person but in their heart they will forever respect you. 
    An honest person is an accountable person. Fears no accusation because he or she has a clean record, their yes is yes and their no is no. If everyone will practice honesty, our families will be a better place, Nigeria will be a better place & the world will be a better place. Never trade the virtue of honest for fame, money and position because you might just be trading the destiny of the future generation without knowing.
