AUTOCARE WITH DAMILARE: All About SUV's
What is an SUV?
Hey TTB followers, welcome to Autocare with Damilare
Today we'll look at SUVs, and its importance. Quite many but few points will be discussed here.
SUV stands for Sports Utility Vehicle. They are bigger and taller than normal cars by having a higher roof and seating position which gives the driver a better view of the road ahead. An SUV also has a raised ground clearance to make driving over rugged terrain easier. You can also get more compact SUVs, which are known as crossovers.
SUV needed to have four-wheel drive, which helps prevent it getting stuck on slippery surfaces. However, bear in mind that some SUVs don't, in order to reduce weight and improve fuel economy.
An SUV is also tall. The original purpose wasn't to give the driver a better view of the road ahead, but to enable the vehicle to pass over jagged rocks, and through ruts, without scraping the bottom.
It's got lots of interior space too. Whether you're an extreme sports enthusiast or a farmer that needs to transport bales of hay, a traditional SUV should have enough room.
Those three ingredients: a high driving position, better performance in icy weather and plenty of space make SUVs particularly attractive to families.
An SUV is generally built with mechanical parts that are specifically designed for rugged use - although there are exceptions. It can make the cars heavy and increase the amount of fuel that they use. This is the big difference between SUVs and crossovers, which use the mechanical parts from family cars, which are designed mainly for tarmac roads.
Once upon a time, SUVs had a bad reputation for high fuel consumption, but huge advances has been made over the years to improve their fuel consumption, and they’ve become much eco-friendly.
An SUV car versatile is important. you slide the back seats forward to increase either leg room or boot space, but there is a lot more you can do to change up your SUV.
When it comes to picking out a new car, your main priority should always be safety. SUVs have undergone huge improvements over the years with their safety features.
SUV comes with driving aids, to make your journey smoother and safer. The Active Safety Brake will automatically stop the car if it senses a potential collision, blind spot monitoring system will shine an orange light to alert you if something has moved into your blind spot, and the intelligent beam headlights will change between high and low beams automatically, so driving at night is safer.
