OPENED MY EYES:

12 o'clock or 6 o'clock?

Heyyy TTB fam! I hope you are doing well. Welcome once again to the Opened My Eyes section of the blog (your favourite section). It's a new week so let's go in with our eyes wide open.

When you hear 12 o'clock or 6 o'clock, I bet at least one of these comes to mind : Random times of day, favourite prayer times or choices for when to break your fast. Any other day, you would not be wrong but today we are looking at the clock differently.

First off, remove the digital clock from your mind and let us return to the days of the long hand and short hand telling us the time.

Now that we are in the olden days, my question is what are the positions of the long and short hands at 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock? Any difference? Did I hear somebody say no? Chaiii. Well at 12, both hands are up and at 6 the long is up and the short is down.

What is this one on about again? Is this post just a waste of TIME? Relax, we're almost there. My times tell us simply about two categories of Christians (and by extension 'religious' people).

The 12 o'clock lift their hands to the heavens completely without touching earth. In other words they "depend" "completely" on God and do nothing. This may seem like the right thing to do but to put it in perspective, a person in this category would need a job, never apply anywhere and expect to be called for an interview in Chevron by prayer and fasting. You see how the person is set up for disappointment?

The 6 o'clock lift one hand (the long one) to the heavens (to God) and the other hand touches earth. Put another way, they prevail in the place of prayer but also do what is expected of them. They work and pray not just pray. These are the people who see results.

You have a part to play by God's design and He will not do for you what you should and can do for yourself. He will not help you propose to that sister, or submit your CV, or practise your instrument.

Do YOUR bit and watch Him do HIS. He has never failed and He never will. Hallelujah somebody????

Skilled workers will always serve kings. They will never have to work for less important people.
