LETTER2ME: Relationship 101

RELATIONSHIP 101

Dear Me, how are youuuu? Happy New Month πŸ•Ί. January has finished, so welcome to the month of love 😍.

Yes, I'm excited to write this letter, 'cause personally, I have been looking forward to it. So valentine is only a week and a few days away, and so I thought from my experience, I should share the little I know about love. Mostly, they are unpopular opinions, so let me know what you think after each.

So, the first thing I want to say is this; LOVE IS A PROCESS. The sad truth is, we think that like the movies, it can and should happen all of a sudden. Well, it does happen with a few. Love at first sight (LAFS) does happen. But even they have to go through a process to reach the "totally, helplessly in love" stage.

Learn to DEVELOP relationships. Even the point where a lady and a young man are strangers is important. Why? Because it's a level playing field. It's a blank canvass. I get a chance to write the story of us as much as the lady does.

Even though I know SOME ladies appreciate it when you just blot out your intentions on first meet, for the most part, ladies love mystery. "Does he like me or doesn't he?". They, like you, love a chance to figure you out. And you take the wind out of their sails when they don't get a chance to work for Mystery Inc. (you know, Scooby Doo's gang. Scooby Doo is... never mind).

Don't meet a lady today, and just when you get her digits, you are seeing love in the eyes of her display picture (not even her real face πŸ˜‚). The seeds that produce greater harvests take time.

I met my lady in 100l. And your boy was lovestruck from the first moment. We became friends not to long after, and in my hurry to love up, I "shot my shot". Brothers and sisters, I was shut down 🀣. I'm talking like a month and a couple weeks after we met. It was painful. But I won las las (story for another letter ✌)

All I'm saying, let it happen IN TIME. Unfortunately, most of us guys are impatient. For some, our hearts are in the right place commitment wise, but we just want to get right down to it. Yo, you ever seen a tree without roots? πŸ€” You will crash the way babe crashed my heart on first try. Grow roots downwards first. Then, bear fruits upward (clichΓ©, I know. But it's logical).

Ok, I don't want to make the letter lengthy. But I'm sure you got something. I'll continue next week, but let me know how you feel about this one (in the comments πŸ‘‡) or mail me too. Have a good week.

Love,
Nathan.
