WHEN YOU ARE GONE

Heyy there and welcome to another session in the Opened My Eyes section. I pray this message touches you more deeply than any ever has.

Today we talk about the certain but unwanted outcome of life, its very culmination (if you will): DEATH!!!

Usually,people surpress thoughts of death because thinking about dying is apparently "a reason to be worried".

The truth is you ought to think about death as that is the finish line for this race and to remain focused on how you arrive, the destination must remain in view.

I know when people want to get us to behave a certain way, they use the "what do you want to be remembered as/for?" and "what do you want people to say about you when you're gone?" lines.

What people say when you're gone is not unimportant. I could never and would never say such BUT more important is the issue "What will YOU say about YOU when you are gone?".

Huh? Me? How can I say something about myself after I die? Well allow me inform or remind you that not only is it possible, it is CERTAIN!!. We will all give an account of ourselves to our Creator and there will be no lies and exaggerations; there will be no cover up either.

The reason I ask you "what will you say about you when you are gone?" Is that there is a YOU that only YOU(and God of course) know and that is the real you not the socially-appropriate or church version of you. That's the you that YOU will talk about when you are gone so if there's anything you don't want to have to say then get rid of it now and if there is something you would want to say then start it now.
