STYLE ZONE WITH ISTYLE: Mixing Prints

PRINTS MIXING!!!
For a while I stayed away from matching prints because my initial reaction to it was ‘This is way too risky’.

My Sense of style at that time was heavily influenced by the matchy matchy trend; and the black accessories go with everything believe system… I’m sure you understand . So embracing a fashion style that’s about pairing a print bottom with a separate print top was a no no. In essence, print mixing is a way to think outside the box, fashion is all about freedom and self expression.

The way I see it, matching different sets of prints is not just one of those passing trend , it’s more of a fashion statement and a way of letting the world into one’s  creativity, so the world can see fashion the way one sees it; an art without limits.

Do note that Rocking print is cool, creative and fashion forward,  but it’s not for the faint hearted and definitely worth experimenting but if you want to pull it off, you have to put in the work.  The key is in the details- for a start you might want to mix a loud print with something mute, stay within the same color palette, allow one of the pattern or print to dominate, also try to keep your accessories to a minimal.
