LETS TALK ABOUT SEXUAL ABUSE: - Paradigm
Paradigm with Rygles :: Today we going to start a series on paradigm... It's sensitive and quite honestly heart wrenching... So many people go through this in their homes and immediate environment, it's just recently people have started speaking out and parents have discovered how vulnerable their children are, sometimes experiences from childhood goes a lot into shaping the kind of person they become no matter how deep it's buried, actions have consequences.
Topic: BURIED
His breath on me
Couldn't get away
Tried to escape
His grip on me so strong
My voice as low as a whisper
I beg, to let me go
Would do anything
Just to breathe
Without the smell of his stench
Haunting me
Taunting me
Mocking me
His smile
Condescending, making me feel
As helpless and pitiful as a drenched
Cat.
My fault he said....
I can bet a lot of people can relate to this, but not every one, Abuse doesn't just happen to the female gender, it can happen to anyone, different names given to it, Abuse, sexual harassment, rape, molestation..the list goes on and on whatever the case may be, it can be psychologically damning for the person involved- I don't like to use the word "Victim", because of how final that word sounds.
We hear of stories almost everyday of women, men(not popular but it happens), boys, girls and so on being raped by the most ridiculous close relations from the father to the grandparents to the neighbors to the family friend to the uncles and Aunties to friends. The list goes on and on, point is it can happen to anyone and by anyone. The heart of a man is desperately wicked, there are actions you make as a person that surprises even yourself.
Some people have experiences, awful ones that we can't even tell our closest friends for a number of reasons that vary from guilt to shame. Sometimes, it helps to talk about it, not necessary everyone, there's a weight loss that comes with sharing burdensome secrets, there's a comfort in knowing someone knows what you are going through or have been through, there's a lightness in finding a true friend who accepts you and all of your baggage.
Just because it's buried deep doesn't mean it's not there, sometimes silence is loud, behind a smile is an unbearable pain, in laughter is a cry for help, in the light there's shadow somewhere. People have various masks, what is your mask? What do you have buried? What's your guilt? What's your shame?
We'll continue this on paradigm and I sincerely hope that by the end of this series some of us will feel lighter and smile brighter, if you have a story to tell, or a burden to share, it doesn't have to be me,and you can keep it anonymous but I'll be here ready to see beyond the mask.

Hmmm, this is a thought provoking peace, nicwly written, kudos, over d last few months,i think i wont be wrong to deduce dat at least 70% have been molested during childhood, its so so crazy ,how somebody can look at a child and say he or she is turned on andthen goes further into relishing day evil desire , d most mouth gaping of these event is when u hear, em papa, em brother, em cousin,em aunty, na em rape am, and u just have ur mouth wide open, mind blank, theres no reasoning you can reason, it just doesnt make sense, i belong to a group on fb so i have read a lot and i mean a lot, dat sometimes, i just wanna go hide inside a rock or something, i have personal experiences too and i know how dey shaped me, but d most scariest thing is this will keep on happening and you wont be able to stop it, let me stop with this last words, of all d things dat scares me about marriage, child molestation takes d cake, have been asking myself these days, yummy,if u marry and have kids, can u beat ur chest, dat u will protect them from any form of child molestation,i know i wont ever forgive myself, and so up till now, i dont have an answer.
