GLIMPSE OF HOPE: Getting Ahead in Life and Destiny

GETTING AHEAD IN LIFE AND DESTINY.   We live in a society  where people only think of the future as an event that will eventually happen but how the future will meet you is determined by what you are doing now. Some people would say that anyhow it is, bad as it may be I hope to have achieved something tangible before that time but my understanding is you don't “wish” for the future you “work” towards it.      You have a great future ahead of you but it has to be developed. No great achievement is made by accident, it is as a result of deliberate diligent and dedicated actions.      I will briefly share with you five steps in getting ahead. 1. DISCOVERY Your discovery determines your recovery in life and destiny. Until you discover who and what you represent life would remain a burden. 2. PURSUIT It is not enough to discover what you represent, you must pursue it with every resources available to you. 3. WISDOM   Wisdom is the rig...

CRISTIANO RONALDO RED CARD: What Juventus star said to referee after he was sent off against Valencia revealed All eyes were on Cristiano Ronaldo as he represented Juventus in the Champions League for the very first time following his summer move from Real Madrid. But the Portugal international's night was nothing short of a disaster after he was shown a straight red card in just the 29th minute of the match. It wasn't clear what had happened at first as Ronaldo apparently clashed with Jeison Murillo off the ball and away from the eyes of the referee. Replays showed there was a slight coming together between the two players, but Ronaldo didn't appear to lash out at his rival with his hand or head. Cristiano Ronaldo spoke to the referee after being shown a red card. He did however appear to pull the hair of Murillo, which was spotted by the linesman. The official gestured to the referee to end Ronaldo's night early, and the Portugal international was forced to ...

Image
Artefact The painting that changed the world. Any times we here of great speeches by orators and master tacticians that helped end wars. Could art works do the same?  We  find out on this episode of ArteFact. World renowned photographer Nick Ut captured a picture, when America dropped a lethal bomb in Vietnam in 1972. Nick Ut captured the photograph on June 8, 1972, when he was working with Associated Press, an American News Agency. The picture of a Vietnamese girl who was burned all over the body in the napalm bomb attack by America shook the conscience of everyone. If there was one photograph that captured the horrific nature of the Vietnam war, one photograph that tore at our collective conscience, it was the picture of a nine year old girl, running naked down a road, screaming in agony from the jellied gasoline coating her body and burning through skin and muscle down the bone. Her village in the Central Highlands of Vietnam was napalmed that day in 1972, and the...

SHALL WE? A very good day to you all leaders of thought and welcome on board to Hamz's Musings this week. Today, SHALL WE talk about treading the path of purpose? Firstly, picture these story below. "A blind man once stood on the side of the road. He was waiting for someone to take him across. Then he felt a gentle tap on his shoulder. A voice said, 'I want to cross the road. Loud car horns and screeching brakes dodged their every step. They were nearly deafened by the shrieking motorists and shouting pedestrians. The general ruckus just served to make the men more frantic. The blind man clung tightly to the other man until they made it to the other side of the road. Immediately, the blind man disengaged himself and screamed above the din at the other man, 'Do you ...
